germany. dingo pictures. a studio that made cheap knockoffs of famous cartoons.
their version of the land before time was called dinosaur adventure.

june 6, 2010. a youtuber called celyciah uploads a clip from the italian dub, under the title dinosauri antropomorfi dalle voci ambigue — anthropomorphic dinosaurs with ambiguous voices. he was not wrong.

in it, an ankylosaurus named peek is told that his parents have a new baby and don't care about him anymore.
a t-rex named oro answers him by name.

the voice acting is bad. the pronunciation is worse.
"peek" comes out as a loud, high-pitched:

2010 年 6 月 6 日，一位叫 celyciah 的 YouTube 用户传了一段意大利语配音的片段，标题是 dinosauri antropomorfi dalle voci ambigue——“配音暧昧的拟人恐龙”。他没说错。

片中，一只叫 Peek 的甲龙被告知：爸妈有了新的孩子，已经不管他了。
一只叫 Oro 的霸王龙叫着他的名字回答他。

配音很烂，发音更烂。
“Peek” 被喊成了一声又尖又响的“咿”：

the most unhinged noise on the internet is the first syllable of a speech about being loved.

in the english dub he just says "peek." no yee. nothing happens.
the entire meme exists because of one italian voice actor having a moment.

february 29, 2012. a user named revergo re-cuts it.
peek sings his little jingle over the film's own soundtrack. oro interrupts. done.
that edit becomes the canonical version — over two million views, and every yee since is descended from it.

then nothing, for two years.

august 23, 2014. it lands on r/youtubehaiku and goes up 93 percent.
tumblr takes it from there: fan art, photoshopped dinosaurs, remixes, face swaps, songs.
yee stops being a clip and becomes a noise you can use in any conversation.

january 2015. at a league of legends championship in korea, someone in the crowd is holding a sign with oro's face on it.
that is roughly the moment it escaped.

the rivalry starts around then too.
twitch, league, cs:go. the dinosaur against the frog.
yee vs pepe. factions, emote wars, and in 2020 someone ran an actual yee vs pepe olympics.

2023. the fight moves on-chain.
the original $yee launches on ethereum two weeks after $pepe. on purpose. same old war, new battlefield.

2026. this.
a community launch on robinhood chain — robinhood's own ethereum l2.

same dinosaur. same one syllable. new rails.

no roadmap. no utility. no thesis.
the good memes never needed one.

it's a dinosaur that interrupts a song.
that's the whole idea.

整个梗之所以存在，全靠一位意大利配音演员当时的临场发挥。

2012 年 2 月 29 日，一位叫 revergo 的用户把它重新剪了一遍。
Peek 伴着电影自带的配乐哼他那段小调，Oro 一声打断，结束。
这个剪辑成了标准版本——两百多万播放，此后所有的 yee 都是它的后代。

然后是两年的沉寂。

2014 年 8 月 23 日，它被发到 Reddit 的 r/youtubehaiku，93% 的人点了赞。
接力的是 Tumblr：同人图、P 过的恐龙、各种混剪、换脸、翻唱。
yee 不再只是一个片段，而变成了一种放进任何对话里都成立的声音。

2015 年 1 月，韩国的一场英雄联盟赛事上，观众席里有人举着印着 Oro 大头的应援牌。
差不多就是从那一刻起，它彻底跑了出去。

恩怨也是从那时开始的。
Twitch、英雄联盟、CS:GO。恐龙对青蛙。
yee vs pepe：站队、表情包大战，2020 年甚至真有人办了一届“yee vs pepe 奥运会”。

2023 年，战场搬到了链上。
最初的 $yee 在 $pepe 之后两周上线以太坊。是故意的。老仗，新战场。

2026 年，就是眼前这个。
社区在 Robinhood Chain 上发行——Robinhood 自家的以太坊 L2。

同一只恐龙。同一个音节。新的轨道。

没有路线图，没有用途，没有宏大叙事。
好的梗从来不需要这些。
